With more than two decades in the practice of law, Eric stands out in the areas of commercial arbitration, both local and international, with a particular emphasis in the Construction sector, Energy, Buying-Selling, Distribution, Public Concessions, Banking and Finance, among others

Eric Britton has acted as counsel and as arbitrator in multiple processes under the rules of arbitration centres such as the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of the Construction of Panama, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), UNCITRAL and ICSID. 

It is a reference on topics of commercial arbitration and the right of the building, by what he has given countless lectures by local and international and participated as a panelist at major conferences organized in Panama by the Centre for Conflict resolution (CESCON).

Similarly, it provides solid advice to foreign clients in establishing their investments in Panama in the drafting, negotiation and review of contractual agreements for a variety of business sectors.

Prior to founding Britton & Iglesias (BRIG) in 2015, he was a partner for ten years of one of the firms most recognized of the square, contributing largely to its development since its foundation.   

It belongs to the National College of Lawyers of Panama, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama, the Board of Directors of the Arbitration Center of the Panamanian Chamber of Construction, the Latin american Association of Arbitration (ALARB), Spanish Club of Arbitration (CEA) and the group of Latin american Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Has been highlighted by Chambers & Partners Global, Chambers & Partners Latin America, Whos Who Legal and the Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA), as lead attorney in matters of Litigation and Arbitration.

He is a graduate in Law of the Latin american University of Science and Technology (Panama, 1996); Master's degree in Maritime Law from Tulane University (E. E. U. U., 1997); Was advanced studies of Maritime Arbitration in the Aegean Institute of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law (Rhodos, Greece, 1998); Conducted specialized studies in Contract Law at the Universidad Externado de Colombia (Colombia, 2007-2008) and specialized studies in the Law Building at the University of Cambridge (UK, 2014).

Licensed to practice in the Republic of Colombia, issued by the Higher Council of the Judiciary of Colombia.
